our lives begin here

Oh my, here we are at the end of April already. Time flies so fast each day and the next thing you know we will be halfway through the year. And there's still so much things that i need/need to do, doesnt matter whether it's a priority in life or not. Here are some things I think I should do:

1) To lose more weight. I lost all the 9kg of pregnant weight I put on having my 2nd one but I still feel flabby after 3 months down so I must, I must lose the babats!

2) To read more books. Must make effort to take a trip to the library more often. I don't really buy books to read cos after finished reading, those books will just be collecting dust at the corner of the room so I rather borrow.

3) To be a more patient person. I'm a little hot-tempered and get agitated easily should anyone irritates me at the slightest bit so I should learn to take a deep breath, count to 10 and breathe in and out. *urgh*

4) To learn how to cook more stuff. I can easily count the number of dishes I can cook with all these 10 fingers I have. My cooking skills are damn limited. And I like to cook food which is fast to prepare and with the simplest ingredients. Give me a recipe with so many ingredients to add, I get confused...and the result: it'll be a disaster, you'll never want to eat it again.

5) To shop for clothes . Arggh...this is tough cos I'm one hell of a fussy shopper. I can go to a few places in one day and end up buying just one bottom! Each morning getting ready for work, I'll have this dilemma of what to wear and whatever I choose to wear I must have the mood to wear it. I'm sure anyone who goes thru the same thing knows here's always day when whatever you wear doesnt seem right!

6) Not to dump so much things in my bag. The bigger the bag the more things I tend to put in it and I end up carrying a heavy bag. Hmm..let me look what I have in my bag: wallet, keys, handphone, make-up pouch, notebook, brolly...and the list goes on

7) To be cool when I'm near a cat. I'm scared, no, terrified of cats. I dunno why, but its been like that since I was young. I can't eat in peace if i know there're cats loitering around me, I'll eat in fear. a friend use to keep 3 cats so each time we've got to go and visit for Hari Raya, I dread it. But on the contrary, my son is ok with cats though he's just a little scared sometimes.

Well, it'll be good if I achieve at least 2 or 3 things from the list. No good to just sit here, happily typing out and then don't do anything about it, rite? Rite!

I've got a real fish tank. Dear huby bought from his fren for $50 and it came with some fishes, one of them, a black fish has got only an eye! Apparently, a smaller fish attack its other eye sometime ago and so there's only a hole at where the eye was suppose to be. I looked at it, felt a bit squirmish *urgh*

Farihin learnt a new song in school "Bangau Oh Bangau, kenapa engkau kurus...." and I sang along with him. He can remember the lyrics very well while I had to be prompt while we were singing. But he also have his own opening to the song if he decides to be notty: Bangla oh Bangla *lol*

Was talking to my colleague yesterday on the way home and we were reminiscing days of our lives while we were younger about how chee-ko-peks like to prey on innocent young girls. She was telling me a story of how this decent chinese looking guy who board the bus she was on near the National Stadium, probably just finished a gym session and was carrying a large bag. Plonk himself down on the empty seat next to her, put the bag up on his lap. And the next thing you know underneath the bag, his fingers was running up at the side of my friend's school skirt! How disgusting is that? No one could see it though the bus is so crowded cos everything is covered by his bag. Poor girl didnt know what to do so she just suffered in silence. But it all happen too quickly cos the guy got down a few stops after that! Bloody 'ell!

I think during my time, we young things get scared when these things happen to us so we choose to just leave it. Things have changed these days, younger girls are more vocal and I'm sure if ever such things happened to them, these bunch of arseholes will get their balls kick! Cowabunga!

Geez, it's Wednesday already. I'm oh-so-not looking forward to the weekend simply becos da man of the house has to work again this Sat n Sun!

Hmm....time to get back to my pictures. Adios!

Some might have read this but I just thought it's quite an interesting piece to share....

WORDS WE WOMEN USE
***********************

FINE
This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use "fine" to describe how a woman looks - this will cause you to have one of those arguments.

FIVE MINUTES
This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your soccer game is going to last before you take out the rubbish, so it's an even trade.

NOTHING
This means "something," and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and end with "Fine"

GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows! )
This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine"

GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows)
This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care" You will get a "Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.

LOUD SIGH
This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing"

SOFT SIGH
Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. "Soft Sighs" mean that she is content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe, and she will stay content.

THAT'S OKAY
This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and in conjunction with a "Raised Eyebrow."

GO AHEAD!
At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.

PLEASE DO
This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay"

THANKS
A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say you're welcome.

THANKS A LOT
This is much different from "Thanks." A woman will say, "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh." Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell you "Nothing"

Monday, monday, monday, wherever did my weekend go? Ah, was at home for the past 2 days doing the housewifey things. Penat betul! Nothing much on TV, even on Suria there were too many repeat shows.

Farihin had wanted to watch Ultraman Dyna at 6.30 yesterday but it seems they're not showing it anymore but there was Taman Sesame. How annoying cos fine if they have to do it in Malay but you should listen to the songs, kelakar seram as in how they literally translate the songs into Malay. Tsk tsk.

Yeah, got a copy of Glamour with Rachel Stevens on cover to read. Hmmm, at least I have something to read in the train rather than staring into blank spaces thruout the journey.

Had Beef Char Siew rice for lunch at this new place near IBM Towers. It's called Wok Restaurant, owned by Sakura. Damn they dun have those nice noodles on the menu. If not, it's good to have Sakura kind of food just walking distance from the office. And while I'm on the subject of food, I've been searching for Duck Rice (halal one of course). The last and my mostest favourite quack-quack rice I had was at Bedok, Ridwan duck rice stall I think is the name. It's not there anymore, wonder where has it gone too, sob..sob..

Oh well, let me sink back into work and meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the day, BOSS-FREE...

hiya all..feeling all so unproductive at the moment.

what a way to start my morning today! changed the water in Farihin's plastic fish tank (the one that has a handle) and the minute I want to put it back on our dining table, horrors to horrors, the handle came off and the contents of the tank spilled all over my table and all the floor!! Bergelimpanganlah 3 ekor ikans kecil yg sedang berswimming-swimming happily onto the floor! I quickly grab all 3 back and dump them back into the tank!

and so i thot time to clean up the mess I made and it was already 8am! i'm oh-so-late. went to the toilet fill the tank with some water again and place it at the corner of the sink and once again the tank terbalik and one of the fish fell into the sink hole while I manage to save the other two!what a luck.

and these are fishes that Farihin brought home 2 weeks ago when his centre brought them for an excursion at the Kid's Kampong somewhere at Pasir Ris. How do I tell him one of his last three surviving fishes fell into the hole? Wanted to lie to him in case he gets upset but eventually told him the truth. He's ok about it, thank goodness!

After that it was time to clean up the floor and the table! Hai, mcm maid lah aku ni pagi2 mop floor sekejap.

AMI: I definitely think John Stevens will go out tonite. I think he looks like Alfred E Newman, the MAD magazine character. Sorry ah, those of you who like him, I don't mean to offend you.

Orait, I'm out to go hunt for magazines at BORDERS! Ta.

Came in at 2.15 today. Well. I was on half day leave to bring Farah for her 3rd month jab! It was so bloody long waiting from one point to another at amk polyclinic. And eventually only finish the whole thing at noon! From waiting to see the nurse, the doctor then to do the immunisation. Terrible. Was so tempted to just take the whole day off but thinking of the stuff at work, I dragged myself out.

So upset that i dint finish watching Smallville yesterday. Dozed off halfway through. Oh my Clark was blind, then what happened ah? Anyone fill me in please?

Got no inspiration to write at the mo...I'll be back.

So much things to do so little time......

Started Tuesday morning with a rush, sending Farihin to childcare and Farah to mum's then hop onto the mrt to tanjong pagar. Some stupid girl hogging the pole in the train, very irritating indeed. I hate people who do that especially when the train is crowded. I mean, c'mon don't you have a backbone girl and can't you just hang on to those handles instead? Leaning on the pole means everyone who stands around you wouldnt have the pole to hold! If I'm in one of my bitchy mood, I'll insist on holding onto the pole n will purposely stick out my knuckles so when the person leans against the pole, he/she will get poke!Ha ha..

Bought Farihin a pack of 6 Hush Puppies underwear last week and he's worn all of them within a week. How irritating! I told him rotate with your old underwears too but would he listen to me..NO! Cos he insist on wearing them. Of course I wash them but the minute the laundry is dry, he wants the NEW underwear again. Hai, headache, headache.

I finally manage to catch Eye For A Guy last nite. wanted to see how our fhm bikini babe fare in the show. Dun like it and I just find the whole thing too scripted. The bitchiness among the guys as all in the other reality shows are definitely just for the camera. It's definitely not as fun as The Bachelorette.

I'm schedule to remove my wisdom teeth next month, 12 May...argh..very takut!

Till later.Ta

Monday morning zzzzzzz.... just got in to work about half an hr ago. Terrible to be late... Ok, so we officially at start at 9am but everyone from my editorial team strolls in about 9.30 so can any one complain? Hmm..

Very tiring weekend that I had. Attended another friend's daughter 'majlis cukur rambut'. That baby girl had huge eyes and she's got nice name too, Fatin Amelie.

Haven't eaten anything for breakfast yet, very hungry now but well, maybe just grab a cuppa of milo cos the next thing I know it will be lunchtime. So no point eating breakfast at 10.

Oh yes..i'm sure everyone read about the David Beckham scandal. Out of the blue, one of the person who was also involved was my ex editor, jake hamilton!!! We're all so surprise that he came out in the open about his relationship with that Sarah Marbeck! He was a private person when he was working here. He's sure a fun guy, some thinks he looks like Jude Law on a bad day but seriously he was the BEST EDITOR I've worked with. Last emailed him when he was at Cook Islands News doing a shorrt stint as a journalist there and afterwhich, dunno where he went.

And suddenly he resurfaced in a BIG way..though we all do wonder how much he got paid selling his story to THE SUN and MIRROR in UK?

Oh well, I better start doing work now. Ciao...see ya later
